How much is the upfront capital cost for the USBN system?
There is no upfront capital cost for any equipment or software. The USBN system is available for a small monthly fee.
Will my bartenders and staff have to change the way they work in order to use the USBN system?
No. The USBN system does not interfere with any equipment/procedures used by bartenders. The system is completely independent of any equipment/devices at your bar location.
Is the system visible to customers at the Bar?
No. The USBN system is installed in the beer coolers above the kegs. It is completely invisible to anyone at the Restaurant or Bar.
Is there a limit to the amount of beer lines I can monitor?
No. The USBN system can cover any number of beer lines, even at multiple locations.
Do I need any special equipment at the Bar location to make the system work?
No. The USBN system is independent of any computers/equipment on site. The only thing that the system requires is an internet connection.
What happens when foam goes through the system? Does it record different ounces based on the different densities of foam and the actual beverage?
Foam is nothing but beer with air bubbles. Eventually, when the foam settles, all that remains in the glass is the beer. The system will only record the ounces of the actual beverage that goes through the flow meters i.e. the exact amount of beverage remaining in the glass after the foam settles.
Do I have to wait until the end of the day or week to view my data?
No. The USBN system is real-time, so you can view your data at any time from any remote location.
Do I need any special software to view/retrieve the product movement data?
No. All the product movement data can be accessed and downloaded from USBN’s website using a secure login and password.
Will the USBN system work with any draft beer brand or type?
Yes. Each flow meter can be programmed to work with any draft beer brand or type.
Does line cleaning have any effect on the system?
USBN flow meters are made from a product called Delrin by Dupont, which is FDA approved. It has friction properties close to Teflon as well as a very low absorbency factor. Therefore, the flow meters do not affect the taste/composition of beer nor can they be affected by the beer or the line cleaning solutions.
Will the USBN system work with fountain soda?
Yes. The USBN system can work with any kind of dispensed beverage.
